Puchaz lower rudder bracket

This glider was brought to us after a tail heavy landing. When the rudder was removed we found that the lower rudder support deck was cracked and swollen due to water damage. Water had been collecting in this area for some time and and had weaken the ply wood to the extent that it failed when loaded. A new ply deck was fitted and protected with resin.
