The world of composites has moved on from the days of chopped strand glass and polyester resin, modern resin systems are complex engineering materials performing to strict design criteria.
Carbon, Glass and Arimid (Kevlar) fibres are available in a wide variety of different fabric weaves to meet all likely requirements. Hybrid mixes of fibres allow for weight, strength and durability to be addressed and then balanced against cost. Epoxy resin ensures good stability and reduced shrinkage compared to polyester resin.
Advanced pre-preg materials further enhance the quality when used with either vacuum bagging or autoclave curing.
