Deep Discharge Lead Acid Gel Cells:  These batteries are direct replacement for standard sized gel cells but have a better ability to deal with high current drain over longer periods. We have introduced them as a solution to short battery life in modern high demand cockpits. We recommend that where the quiescent drain is above 500ma that these batteries be used

We can supply either as bare batteries or as made up units complete with fuse and 3 pin XLR connector

Glider Tail Battery Packs

A range of Tail batteries for popular gliders. Each come with internal fuse and 2 way plug attached  and socket to match

Cyclon 2V Lead Acid Gel Cells:   These round cells can be added to the above 12volt batteries to bring the voltage up to 14v as required by many radios and horizons. Choose the nearest A/H rating to your main battery.

Battery Chargers:   Suitable for charging Gel Cells. All types available with either crocodile clips or 3 Pin XLR Plug to suit batteries.

BC31, 32, 33 and 34 are single stage chargers. That is to say they control the voltage to below 14.5 volts and also control the current within set limits. This is fine as long as you take the battery off charge when it is fully charged.

BC35/36 isn an "intelligent" 3 stage charger. Stage 1 is a constant current bulk charge and brings the battery up to charge as fast as safely possible. Stage 2 is a constant voltage charge and keeps the battery at peak charge ready for use. Stage 3 is proportional charging and adjusts the second stage charge length based on the time taken to carry out the first stage charge. In short this charger will keep your battery topped up and ready to go.

BC37/38 is a Switch Mode Charger and are capable of controlled charging of your battery up to 12A/H in 3 stages. These chargers will bring the battery quickly up to 85% charge and then trickle charge to 100%. The charger then drops into float mode and maintains the battery at full charge.

BC039 is a XLR "Y" lead to enable you to charge two batteries from a single charger. (Please ensure your charger has the capacity to do this. We recommend you use our BC038 charger)

Accessories for Batteries

These glass fibre battery boxes are light and yet very strong. Easy to use clamp on single and over the top strap on the double.
