RAM Mounts for GPS and PDA's

These heavy duty mounts are ideal for a quick and simple way of mounting your GPS or Palm within the cockpit. They give a good range of movement to allow you a balance between access and view of the screen.

(a) The ball system.

(b) The flexible arm system.

The Mounts for the PDA or GPS are common to both systems.

The Ball System

This system works using either a diamond shaped base with a 1" diameter rubberised ball attached or a 1/4"unc x 3/8" threaded ball. A short arm can be attached to the ball. Movement is achieved by releasing the clamping screw and adjusting to the desired position before tightening the clamp to lock in place. The range of movement is very good but can be limited due to access to the clamping screw. In general this provides a very rigid mounting system.

The Flexible Arm

This system uses a 6" long metal gooseneck mount which can be adjusted to position the mount in the desired position. At both ends of the gooseneck is a diamond shaped mounting pad ready to accept any of the GPS or PDA mounts we offer. The gooseneck weighs about 45 grams and is quite stable once positioned.

Suction Cup

An extremely powerful 3" diameter suction cup that will accept either the flexible arm or the diamond ball system. Has rotating knob to apply suction or release.
