Magneto
This is by far the best timing light I have used it is easy to use and very reliable. Available for single magneto or dual magneto synchronising, both come with lights and a tweeter.

If you have ever had to replace a Bendix magneto you will now that they always move just as you position it back in the hole. This hard rubber lock will prevent movement yet not damage the magneto if you forget to take it out.

Compression Testing
This differential cylinder pressure tester quickly locates worn valves, cracked rings and other engine based problems. Requires a small compressed air supply to fill cylinder under test to 80psi. Leaks are shown on second gauge..
This tester requires you to remove the plugs and spin the engine over on the starter. The compression of the cylinder under test is recorded on the gauge. Ideal for basic maintenance and recording values in the field away from workshop. Easy to use and give a good gauge of how the engine is performing over time. Comes with M14 / M18 adaptor
Check the RPM gauge and ensure that you are seeing full RPM. This gauge uses a laser and reflective tape applied to the back of a blade to measure the RPM of the prop. (Note this unit may not give a direct reading.)
Spark Plug Maintenance
This simple tool will quickly gap plugs to the correct value.
A little more refined this tool allows better view of the task and a little more control. Threaded to accept M18 plugs only.
These fine sized wires are the best way to measure the plug gap on massive electrode plugs. 14 thou low / 18 thou high

Most gliders and motor-glider brakes will bleed easier is you reverse bleed them, ie from the wheel back to the master cylinder. This simple system is pressurised from a car or glider tyre and is suitable for use with DOT 4 brake fluid only.
