Now with both SD card and Flarm
Overview
Colibri is small in size but big in functionality. When used
as a stand-alone unit it can be used for real time navigation,
wind calculation and logging engine status; when connected to
another system it can be used to supply a GPS signal.
This latest upgrade of Colibri by the addition of Flarm makes
the unit potentially an even more popular flight recorder to add
to the 1000s already in use worldwide. A 100% Flarm compatible
electronic system has been built into the already diminutive
Colibri housing. The Flarm antenna connector is positioned on
the top of the unit and permits either a ¼ wave antenna or an
extended antenna to be connected. The standard Flarm external
display is also part of the delivery and is connected via a USB
form of connector. All existing IGC and navigation functions
remain unchanged and, in addition, the built in Flarm flight
recorder (not IGC approved) provides a back up.
Please note that the mini usb port of the Colibri Flarm is
used solely for the Flarm display and update function and not
for routine flight downloads etc.
