Most gliders in this list are vintage types such as the Olympia 463 and some early example of from Slingsby. Under these rules the old BGA system of maintenance continues although with time it is expected that the differences in overall standards of repairs and maintenance will rise. What is important though is the fact that minor and major mods fall under the approval of the BGA rather than EASA. This makes the manufacture of replacement components far easier. Over the past twenty years we have manufactured an assortment of drag pins, bearings, bushes and brackets to replace damaged, worn or cracked components. Under the Annex II rules this can continue allowing many older and rarer gliders to stay airworthy. Our facilities include lathes, mills and a small CNC machine capable of cutting accurate profiles and shapes. This together with years of engineering experience makes us a ideal support partner for vintage glider owners throughout the UK. |
